8. Superintendent/Principal’s reports
a.
BIDS I spoke to Jack Warren about painting and
he declined, he said it was too much of a job for him at this time. Dustin Cocke is putting together a
bid, when I get it, I will forward it to you. Cord Fitch is getting me numbers on the concrete and
covered walkway; again I’ll share those as they come available. I did have a gentleman come out and
look at our bleachers. He says it is a challenge, but he is working on a plan for us. I
would like to get with Jeff to work up a bid proposal for the roof-I want to be sure to include everything we need. Get
bids for painting, Concrete, Check with J. Wilkerson to get material list to get bids for roof
b.
Baseball/Softball Co-Op I spoke with Greg Hale over the SIJHSA and the
laws have recently changed to allow schools under 400-instead of 200-to combine sports teams. That means
that Ewing or Thompsonville would be our choice. Ewing has declined, but Thompsonville is interested in
beginning the paperwork- which I already have from Greg Hale. GREEN PAGES DEADLINE
IS JULY 1, 2018
Thompsonville
has stated that we would have to be TIGERS and wear their current uniforms. Not interested in Co-oping with Ewing.
Won’t pursue talks with Thompsonville.
c. Summer
Maintenance Parking lot patches; signs up; playground checked and repairs made-woodchips; water fountains;
regular cleaning. All in addition to the possible painting, and flooring.
